Specializing in artisanal Italian food products, Perbacco sources their offerings from smaller manufacturers with more limited production.  We choose specific products due to their natural ingredients and their popularity within the local communities in their region.  From their tables to yours, we welcome you to taste what the locals in Italy use in their daily cooking.

Buon Appetito!

The meaning
of the exclamation PERBACCO!

Perbacco in Italian means by Heavens/Wow! and that is how we want to make you feel when you taste our food products.

PERBACCO...
this food is delicious!

Giovanni Negri, founder of Perbacco Fine Foods, was born and raised in Milan, Italy. He learned to cook at an early age by watching his mother concoct delicious recipes for the whole family. Growing up in the 1940’s, when food was scarce in Italy, he was amazed at the dishes his mother managed to put together with what little ingredients were available.

After moving to California in the sixties, he began cooking for friends with the limited Italian food products that were available on the grocery store shelves. He pursued his love of car racing throughout most of his life but as he retired from this lifestyle, he began to fall back to his original love of cooking.

In the last 8 years, he has traveled extensively throughout Southern Italy to scour the countryside for the best artisanal foods available to bring back to the dining tables of the United States. In his travels, he has come across smaller businesses that are popular with the local population but that do not have the exposure to international markets.

His philosophy is to bring back the best products from Italy to the dining tables of the United States.

He sources only the best products to sell through Perbacco Fine Foods.
